Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist to support the growth and day-to-day management of our marketplace business across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and other ecommerce channels.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working across multiple marketplaces and understands the unique listing requirements, advertising platforms, catalog structures, and operational processes associated with each channel.
This role is responsible for driving marketplace performance through advertising optimization, content enhancements, catalog management, promotional execution, and data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, identifying opportunities for growth, making recommendations based on performance data, and partnering cross-functionally to improve marketplace results. This is an onsite position in our Bolingbrook, Illinois facility.
As a Marketplace Specialist, you will:
Manage and optimize Amazon/Walmart/eBay advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and other marketplace advertising opportunities.
Monitor and improve marketplace performance metrics including sales, ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, CTR, conversion rate, profitability, and customer acquisition.
Conduct ongoing testing and optimization of campaign structure, bidding strategies, targeting, keywords, creative assets, and promotional tactics.
Analyze marketplace performance data and identify opportunities to improve traffic, conversion, revenue, and operational efficiency.
Monitor competitor activity, category trends, and marketplace best practices to identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement.
Develop recommendations to improve product discoverability, conversion rates, advertising efficiency, and overall marketplace performance.
Create, optimize, and maintain product listings across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and other ecommerce channels.
Improve titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend keywords, attributes, category mapping, and marketplace-specific content.
Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to improve product visibility and search performance.
Coordinate the development and maintenance of marketplace content, including enhanced content, imagery, video, and brand assets.
Create and maintain product variations, parent-child relationships, bundles, and marketplace-specific catalog structures.
Ensure product content aligns with marketplace requirements, brand standards, and merchandising objectives.
Manage catalog uploads, flat files, inventory feeds, listing updates, and marketplace merchandising activities.
Execute marketplace promotions, coupons, deals, seasonal campaigns, and other growth initiatives.
Troubleshoot listing suppression, catalog errors, content issues, compliance concerns, and operational challenges.
Monitor account health, listing quality, and operational performance to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting sales.
Partner with merchandising, creative, product, customer service, operations, and marketing teams to support marketplace initiatives and resolve channel-specific challenges.
Provide regular reporting and insights on marketplace performance, advertising effectiveness, growth opportunities, and business risks.
Analyze trends across sales, traffic, conversion, advertising, and assortment performance to support decision making.
Identify opportunities to expand assortment, improve discoverability, increase conversion, and grow marketplace revenue.
Develop actionable recommendations based on marketplace data and performance trends.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
4-6 years of hands-on ecommerce marketplace experience
Strong experience working within Amazon/Walmart/eBay and other emerging marketplaces
Experience managing product listings and catalogs across Amazon and at least one additional marketplace such as Walmart, eBay, etc.
Understanding of marketplace SEO, catalog management, content optimization, and advertising best practices
Experience with marketplace research, advertising, feed management, and analytics tools
Able to manage multiple SKUs, product categories, and marketplace catalogs
Knowledge of working with branded consumer products
Experience with inventory feed management, marketplace integrations, or multichannel commerce platforms
Able to create and optimize enhanced content, A+ Content, storefronts, or marketplace brand experiences
Familiarity with marketplace policies, account health management, and operational performance standards
Experience supporting marketplace promotional planning and execution
Experience working within ecommerce, retail, or direct-to-consumer organizations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify actionable opportunities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Authorized to work in the United States
