Overview
GeoCue is seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to support the assembly, testing, calibration, maintenance, and quality control of advanced geospatial and LiDAR systems. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet company quality standards and are delivered ready for deployment in surveying, mapping, engineering, and aerial data collection applications.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, configure, and test LiDAR, GNSS, imaging, and related geospatial hardware systems.
Perform system inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
Execute quality assurance and quality control procedures on production units.
Calibrate sensors and verify system performance according to established specifications.
Document production activities, test results, repairs, and configuration changes.
Assist with inventory management, component tracking, and production workflow processes.
Support product upgrades, refurbishments, and warranty service activities.
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to resolve technical issues.
Follow manufacturing procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Prepare systems for shipment and customer deployment.
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience assembling, testing, or troubleshooting electronic or mechanical systems.
Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Familiarity with computers, networking basics, and software configuration.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs.
Experience with surveying, UAV, LiDAR, GNSS, or geospatial technologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Electronics troubleshooting and repair.
Use of diagnostic and measurement tools.
Mechanical assembly and precision workmanship.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of geospatial data collection systems and UAV payloads.
This position primarily works in a production and laboratory environment with occasional field testing activities. The role requires hands-on work with precision electronic and mechanical equipment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
