Providing leadership to a production and underwriting team, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter VP will underwrite new and renewal business, approve policy changes, and maintain high-quality service to agents and carrier partners while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Underwrite new and renewal business while meeting production goals set by management
Supervise a multi-person team, ensuring effective communication of pertinent information
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and market all products and services
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts
Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance
Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
Ability to understand and analyze insurance policy components and client risk exposures
