About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Director for EVP Communications to serve as the chief communicator for the Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans, crafting messaging sequences, and creating content to meet the communication needs of the office and its departments. This role involves being the primary communicator for high-level messages related to university events, policies, and internal communications, as well as serving as a strategic team member on various communication projects. The Senior Director will also be tasked with translating complex academic, financial, and policy issues into clear and compelling language, and ensuring the alignment of messaging with the company's overall communication and marketing strategies.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least ten years of progressively responsible job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in writing and advising senior executives, excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education, corporate communications, or similar mission-driven organizations, and possess high standards for quality, accuracy, and voice consistency in their work. A confident, strategic thinker with strong editorial instincts, the Senior Director should be able to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and manage multiple projects within strict timelines.
