About the Role
Client Director to play an influential role in protecting clients and growing business. The Client and Broker Engagement (CBE) team manages AIG’s major client relationships across all product lines and drives new business activity.
Responsibilities
Client Engagement
Build valuable client relationships with key personnel, including C‑suite executives.
Serve as the senior AIG point of contact for key client partners.
Formulate strategic action plans with clients to identify critical focus areas and forward‑looking opportunities for increased partnership.
Maintain regular collaborative dialogue with key business influencers at major brokerage operations.
Internal Management
Champion new and existing business initiatives with Broker Marketing Executive, Broker Marketing Leader, Broker Engagement, and Underwriting Business Partners.
Collaborate with zonal leadership to integrate client‑centric focus into all zonal sales and business planning.
Develop and implement collaborative marketing strategies to achieve business production and performance goals for the zone.
Manage account and product portfolio across distribution and profit‑center resources.
Drive AIG value proposition and ensure clients are aware of the array of products, services, and enterprise‑wide solutions.
Improve portfolio and account performance, enhance service, and strengthen relationships with major account clients.
Deliver results in new business production and cross‑selling from existing clients in line with set objectives.
Achieve client retention and premium retention goals for the major account segment in the zone.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and calibrate performance management plans.
Collaborate across teams to evaluate and address complex issues.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and enrichment initiatives.
Design high‑level sessions and strategies with stakeholders.
Track and evaluate stakeholder engagement progress.
Serve as a liaison for client and broker partner ecosystem initiatives.
Produce spreadsheets, data visualizations, and dashboards to meet stakeholder needs.
Identify and assess stakeholder skills for future success.
Assist in new business enablement actions.
Drive adoption of AIG’s technology instruments to improve performance.
Maintain the existing technology ecosystem and apply new technologies aligned with Business Intelligence Office requirements.
Lead operational review agendas to support long‑term adoption of services, tools, and process improvements.
Align incentives across stakeholders, partners, and teams.
Develop team and department plans and present updates to leadership.
Articulate business vision, forecast talent needs, and evaluate current workloads.
Align strategy and governance expectations with client expectations across product lines.
Identify improvement opportunities and capture required resources for execution.
Establish program goals for strategic initiatives and convey them to production teams.
Collaborate with training, quality, and operations teams for execution and enablement.
Plan, execute, and manage onboarding, training, and transformation projects.
Support product and data transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
10+years of experience in client relationship/management.
Experience in P&C Insurance.
Ability to build relationships internally and externally.
Strong influence skills with brokers, clients, peers, senior executives, and staff.
Capacity to manage complex global insurance relationships.
Strong financial and accounting skills to engage at senior management level.
Strong problem‑solving abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
For positions based in LosAngeles,CA, the base salary range is $130,000to$168,000 with eligibility for bonus in accordance with the incentive plan. The actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and qualifications.
