The Opportunity
A well-established, growth-oriented B2B SaaS company (65 employees) is seeking a Head of Marketing to serve as a transformative leader and hands‑on executor. This is a high‑visibility role reporting directly to the CEO, with a seat on the company's leadership team.
Their marketing team has a solid foundation in brand and content — this hire will bring the growth marketing rigor, strategic clarity, and cross‑functional leadership needed to turn the function into a measurable pipeline engine.
What You'll Own
- Own the full marketing strategy, roadmap, and quarterly OKRs aligned to company growth priorities
- Lead demand generation strategy and be hands‑on in execution — campaign design, HubSpot workflows, testing, and performance optimization
- Define ICP, buyer personas, segmentation, and messaging architecture; drive Sales and Marketing alignment
- Build and own pipeline attribution reporting for the leadership team — lead flow, MQL definitions, CAC/ROAS, and what to scale or cut
- Establish a campaign‑based operating model: integrated campaigns, shared metrics, clear owners
- Assess product marketing needs and lead the hiring and onboarding of a dedicated PMM (planned for late this year or early next)
- Coach and develop a 4‑person marketing team (growing to 5); clarify role boundaries and make smart resourcing decisions
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 8–12 years in B2B SaaS marketing with direct responsibility for pipeline outcomes
- Proven success building and scaling demand‑gen programs (paid, organic, automation)
- Experience in a lean or scaling org where leaders execute tactically while setting strategic direction
- Track record of leading through influence across multiple levels of an organization
Functional Strengths
- Deep expertise in growth/demand gen: channel strategy, experimentation, conversion optimization, marketing automation, and attribution
- HubSpot fluency — comfortable building automations, dashboards, and workflows directly
- Enough product marketing breadth to define scope, evaluate PMM candidates, and guide early PMM work
Leadership Style
- Player‑coach mentality — comfortable being hands‑on indefinitely, not just delegating
- Communicates clearly across audiences: CEO, peers, and individual contributors
- Solutions‑oriented, avoids siloed execution, builds relationships quickly
- Can navigate a fast‑moving environment while building structure that scales
