Your Role

We’re hiring a cross-channel Media Planner to manage day-to-day planning responsibilities. The Planner contributes to strategic media plan development and can articulate the holistic plan narrative, including tactical details and campaign performance. A successful Planner is resourceful, organized, and energetic throughout the planning process, with strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Maintain and grow foundational knowledge of both online and offline media channels.

Collaborate with Investment, Analytics, and Strategy teams to ensure actionable audience insights are integrated into strategic recommendations.

Manage weekly status calls and serve as the main point of contact with clients.

Manage client budgets and maintain flowcharts to preserve holistic media plan accuracy.

Monitor changes in media and client trends.

Collaborate on tactical presentations with the Investment team, ensuring a clear story aligned with the strategic plan.

Proficient with tools such as Vivvix/Pathmatics, YouGov, MRI/Simmons, Infegy, Commspoint, RBOO, and NMI; use data rigorously to inform decisions.

Act as the first gatekeeper and reviewer for Assistant’s work.

Articulate a solid understanding of quantitative media strategy elements—media mix, channel roles, reach and frequency, flighting, etc.—and how media supports client objectives.

Understand client business objectives and the role media plays in achieving them.

Encourage media and creative integration through cross-agency collaboration and timelines.

Quality and Standards
Develop holistic, strategic media plans in partnership with Supervisors and Directors.

Understand target audience behaviors and work with the Investment team to translate those insights into actionable segments.

Evaluate tactical plan details to ensure strategy pull-through and quality metrics beyond basic measures.

Contribute strategic media viewpoints for clients.

Personal Growth and Collaboration
Participate in training programs to enhance professional growth.

Mentor Assistant Planners and provide ongoing feedback to guide development.

Demonstrate personal dedication and motivation; contribute positively to culture.

Collaborate to resolve team issues and strengthen team communication.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree.

2–3+ years of experience in media planning at an ad agency.

Ability to juggle multiple client projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical and math skills.

Ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end.

Experience mentoring junior team members.

Proactiveness in acquiring new skills and handling workload.

Professionalism and confidence in working with vendors, team members, and clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Salary range: $63k – $75k. Compensation determined by skills, qualifications, and tenure.
