Role Description

The Sales Marketing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, ME. This position is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to grow business with architects, contractors, designers, and homeowners, including managing lead generation, nurturing client relationships, and closing opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing marketing campaigns, managing digital and print content, coordinating trade shows or industry events, and maintaining the company’s brand presence across online channels. The role also involves preparing sales proposals, tracking performance metrics, collaborating with operations on inventory and production timelines, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience from initial inquiry through delivery. The Sales Marketing Manager will work closely with leadership to identify new market opportunities and refine pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies, manage pipelines, and achieve growth targets.
Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns across digital, social media, and traditional channels.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Comfort working on-site in a manufacturing or materials environment and collaborating with operations teams.
Prior experience in building materials, architecture, design, or related industries is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with CRM tools, basic analytics platforms, and common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
