Responsible for the development of a commercial loan portfolio. Actively solicits new business, makes credit presentations for approvals and effectively manages customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Actively solicits and develops new commercial loan business through networking and client calls.
Partner to share best practices, insights and other information that will serve to increase success.
Prepare credit presentations for review and approval to applicable management.
Make joint calls with Branch Managers, Business Development Officers, Trust Officers and Loan Originators as appropriate.
Develop network of referral sources.
Leverage knowledge of existing customer base to maximize opportunities to cross‑sell bank services.
Continuously educate credit and general banking skills.
Provide support in development of credit analysts.
Actively participate in community organizations.
Experience and Professional Qualifications
A minimum of 5-7 years commercial lending experience, including demonstrated experience in credit analysis.
Skills and Competencies
Strong written and oral communication skills, proven business development skills, formal credit training and computer literacy in MS Office.
Working knowledge of the commercial lending process with demonstrated experience in credit evaluation.
Working knowledge and understanding of applicable banking regulations and laws governing commercial lending.
Skilled at critical financial analysis.
Demonstrated sales, negotiation and relationship‑management skills. General working knowledge of the assigned market is helpful.
Education
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
