Senior Family Support Manager - Southwest FL Description:
Better Together is seeking a Senior Family Support Manager to lead and support families in crisis through the Better Families Program in Lee County. This role provides direct case management, develops individualized family support plans, matches families with volunteer host and mentor families, and helps guide families toward reunification and long-term stability. The position also supervises, trains, and mentors Family Support Managers and interns, ensuring quality case management while helping expand the organization's talent pipeline through university partnerships. This community-based role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a passion for strengthening families and preventing children from entering foster care.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required; bachelor's degree in social work or a related human services field preferred. Experience working with vulnerable children and families. Leadership experience with coaching, training, and supervising staff or interns. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Passion for Better Together's faith-based mission and commitment to the organization's core values. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, current vehicle registration, and insurance required. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in a monthly on-call rotation. Comfortable working primarily in the field and remotely with minimal supervision. Experience with or willingness to learn Salesforce, Zapier, WordPress, and Basecamp. Ability to lift 20–30 pounds and perform physical activities during community outreach and home visits.
