About the Role


The Company is seeking a Vice President of Marketing and Communications to join its senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be the chief architect of the organization's global identity, driving innovative branding and communication strategies that align with the mission of eliminating disparities in the global Black community. This role is pivotal in translating the organization's vision into a world-class narrative of impact, with a focus on education, public health, economic empowerment, and civic engagement. The VP will be responsible for designing and executing an integrated marketing and communications roadmap, cultivating relationships with national and local media, and ensuring a synchronized brand voice across all platforms. Strategic event marketing and promotion, as well as managing the departmental operating budget, are also key aspects of the position.

Applicants for the Vice President role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and a minimum of 10-12 years' experience in communications and writing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive communications, media campaigns, and managing high-performance teams. Special skills required include effective communication, project management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The role demands a confident, strategic thinker who is resourceful, flexible, and highly responsive to business needs. Prior experience in Capitol Hill or corporate communications is a plus.
