We are a fast growing, Private Equity backed company and looking to add an Account Manager to support and accelerate the growth of our brands, with a primary focus in medical and shoe retail. This role will support the territory in the central time zone.

Job Summary:

The Account Manager (Inside sales) will be responsible for increasing sales of existing medical & retail accounts, as well as supporting the BDMs (Outside sales) in the territory. The territory will cover the Central- West states and will support our brands with a primary focus on Powerstep.
Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets making 40+ touch points daily.
Closing new accounts via leads or cold calls.
Coordinates and effectively works with outside Business Development Manager to close high volume target prospects.
Serves as a company representative at regional and national trade shows.
Understands and effectively communicates our company value proposition and sales process to shorten the sales cycle and ensure consistent company/brand position
Adjusts tailored value prop by identifying prospect or customer’s needs.
Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge
Expands company’s market share by aggressively selling new products and categories into existing and new customers
Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
Understands competitor’s products and strategy to penetrate new business.
Participate in moderate travel to trade shows and possible customer visits
Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale.
Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and customers of the various products and programs the company offers to their business.
Effectively utilizes company programs such as co-operative advertising, loyalty programs, referral program, merchandising tools, and training to grow sales through existing customers and close prospects.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Continuously look to improve and accept change in a fast-paced sales environment.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics/ requirements.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage under pressure
Approximately 5% travel.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
Minimum 1 to 3 years of sales experience. Retail and medical sales experience, preferred
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
