The Opportunity
Our client, a highly regarded international law firm, is looking for a Business Development Coordinator to join its collaborative growth and client-development team. The firm is known for handling sophisticated matters and bringing practical, forward-looking solutions to a broad client base that includes major corporations, emerging companies, public-sector organizations, nonprofits, trade groups, and individuals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and polished business development professional who wants meaningful exposure to attorneys, firm leadership, practice teams, and industry groups. Working with senior business development leadership, you will help turn the firm's experience and capabilities into compelling materials and initiatives that strengthen client relationships and support new revenue opportunities.
How You Will Contribute
Partner with attorneys and business development colleagues to create customized pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and presentation materials.
Learn the firm's practices, representative matters, clients, and market strengths so you can help communicate a clear and persuasive value proposition.
Support practice and industry teams with annual planning, meeting preparation, follow-up items, budget tracking, and execution of strategic priorities.
Draft, refresh, and organize client-facing content, including attorney biographies, practice overviews, credentials, representative experience, deal and case descriptions, and digital content.
Maintain experience records and client or matter descriptions, confirming that content is current, well written, and approved for external use.
Coordinate submissions for prominent legal rankings, industry surveys, and awards, including collecting information, drafting content, tracking deadlines, and reporting results.
Assist with market and competitive research involving prospective clients, industries, business trends, and peer organizations.
Help evaluate and coordinate conferences, sponsorships, memberships, seminars, and attorney speaking opportunities.
Build productive relationships across departments such as Finance, Conflicts, Legal, and other administrative teams to gather information needed for pitches and proposals.
Track project outcomes and assist with additional initiatives that advance the firm's client-development goals.
What You Bring
A bachelor's degree; coursework in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline is helpful.
2+ years of experience in marketing, business development, client development, or a similar function.
A working understanding of how business development supports lawyers and practice groups within a law firm.
Previous experience in a law firm or another professional-services environment is strongly preferred.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational judgment and the ability to manage several assignments, changing priorities, and firm deadlines at the same time.
A collaborative style and confidence working with attorneys, professional staff, senior stakeholders, and colleagues across departments.
Thoughtful problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and close attention to detail.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with CRM platforms, content-management tools, proposal systems, or responsible uses of AI is a plus.
Flexibility to adjust your schedule occasionally when business needs or deadlines require it.
Why Consider This Role
You will join a respected legal platform with a strong international profile, an interesting mix of clients, and a culture that values collaboration, fresh perspectives, and high-quality work.
