Quiet Light Communications is a B2B advertising and marketing agency with nearly three decades of experience in the global food industry. Our clients market the ingredients, equipment, and science behind everyday products, from baked goods and beverages to nutrition and pet food.
We’re looking for a mid-level digital strategist who can help clients reach business buyers, generate qualified inquiries and make better marketing decisions. You’ll connect search, paid media, websites, content, and email with social and PR, owning campaigns with support from agency leadership and channel specialists. Analysis and reporting are central to this role.
B2B digital marketing experience is essential. Food industry experience is a plus, and we’ll help you learn the category. Bring curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to turn data into action.
You should also have practical experience using AI platforms to support digital marketing work and a clear understanding of their strengths, limitations, and gaps. We’re looking for someone who knows when AI can improve the work, when it needs careful oversight, and when to do the work without it. Strong marketing fundamentals, independent thinking, and an understanding of how the full strategy fits together are essential.
What you’ll do
Develop integrated plans. Translate client goals into audiences, campaign objectives, budgets, and measures of success. Connect paid search, digital advertising, AEO, SEO, content, email, and websites with social and PR.
Manage campaigns. Build, manage, and optimize paid search; coordinate other digital campaigns with our media team and specialist partners. Keep schedules, budgets, and deliverables on track.
Guide content and conversion. Work with content, creative, and web teams to develop clear briefs and use technical content throughout the buyer’s journey. Recommend improvements to website content, navigation, landing pages, calls to action, and forms.
Support lead nurturing. Help plan email and automation programs with client teams and partners, connecting lead generation with qualification and sales follow-up.
Own analysis and reporting. Establish campaign and conversion tracking across platforms. Analyze qualified engagement, inquiries, lead generation, and visitor journeys; explain results, identify measurement gaps, and recommend next steps.
Use AI thoughtfully. Evaluate and use AI platforms where they can improve research, planning, analysis, and everyday workflows. Choose tools based on the task, verify outputs against reliable sources and underlying data, protect confidential information, and recognize when human expertise or a different approach is needed. Remain accountable for the quality and reasoning behind the final work.
Test and improve. Run practical tests to strengthen targeting, messaging, landing pages, and conversions.
Collaborate and advise. Work across account service, media, social, PR, creative, and web teams. Lead client discussions and working sessions and contribute digital recommendations to new business proposals and meetings.
Who you are
Must-haves
3–5 years of B2B digital marketing experience, including strategy and hands-on campaign execution, ideally in an agency managing multiple clients.
Experience reaching business decisionmakers, with an understanding of longer sales cycles, multiple buying influences, and how marketing supports sales.
Hands-on Google Ads and Google Analytics experience, including campaign optimization and conversion reporting.
Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Search Console, and dashboard tools.
Experience connecting conversion tracking and reporting across platforms, including LinkedIn.
A solid grasp of AEO, SEO, digital advertising, email marketing, and website conversion.
Familiarity with HubSpot or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform.
Strong analysis and reporting skills: you can turn data into clear findings, practical recommendations, and reports clients can use.
Hands-on experience with different AI platforms or AI-enabled tools, with specific examples of how you have used them to support marketing research, strategy, analysis, or execution.
Sound judgment about AI’s strengths, weaknesses, and gaps, including inaccurate or unsupported outputs, missing context, bias, and confidentiality concerns. You can explain how you check its work, where it adds value, and when you choose not to use it.
The ability to develop strategy, interpret data, and make recommendations independently of AI, while understanding how channels, content, measurement, and sales support work together.
Confidence presenting recommendations, explaining your reasoning, and responding constructively to feedback.
Experience briefing and collaborating with writers, designers, developers, and channel specialists.
Organization, initiative, and follow-through in a remote environment.
Nice-to-haves
Experience building email workflows, lead scoring, or nurture programs in HubSpot.
Experience in technical, scientific, or manufacturing categories.
Food, ingredient, health and nutrition, or CPG industry exposure.
Experience with LinkedIn Campaign Manager, programmatic advertising, or account-based marketing.
New business pitch experience.
Experience developing repeatable AI-assisted workflows with clear review steps and demonstrated improvements in efficiency or quality.
Be prepared to share
During the interview process, we’ll ask you to walk us through examples of your work with different AI platforms or tools. Tell us what you were trying to accomplish, why you chose the tool, what worked, what fell short, and how you checked or corrected the output. We’d also like an example of when you chose not to use AI—or stopped using it—and why. Please use examples you can share without disclosing confidential client information.
How we’ll measure success
Within your first year, we’ll look for campaigns aligned with client priorities, growth in qualified inquiries and conversions, improved performance through testing, and reporting that drives better decisions. Your work should help retain clients and create opportunities to grow those relationships. Where you use AI, we’ll look for improvements in efficiency or quality supported by appropriate review and sound judgment.
