Digitas has appointed Lesley Bielby as its EVP of North America planning, a newly created position at the agency that calls for the exec to work out of the Boston office and leads a staff of 45 that spans seven offices. Bielby is no stranger to the Boston area, though, having most recently served as chief strategy officer at MMB and CSO before that at Hill Holliday, where she spent six-and-a-half years in all and led strategy across both of latter’s offices.

During her career, the Scottish native also served as a planning director at both Merkley + Partners and McKinney. Bielby officially assumed her new EVP role at Digitas on Oct. 9.
