That’s the word on the Spy line as we’ve been told that Home Shopping Network, or the streamlined HSN as it’s called nowadays, is on the hunt for a new agency. Details are vague at the moment, but when we pinged, this is what we received from an HSN spokesperson: “HSN is focused on growing our brand and our business. We are continuously in active discussions with agencies and partners that can help achieve our goals.” So far, we’ve heard that one New York-based agency is in the hunt and is “moving forward / have been asked to” be involved in the pitch according to sources. We’d tell you more, but only when we find out who the other finalist is. We don’t want to screw things up, after all.
Update: Well, not sure if it’s a surefire win like some tipsters are saying, but the same HSN spokesperson has confirmed that Deutsch New York is in the mix. We’ll keep you posted.
