We Hear: CP+B’s O’Rourke Heading to W+K?

It looks like while yours truly was out of town this weekend, the Spy line lit up with people news and one of the more notable tips that came in was that Matt O’Rourke, he of stolen bike fame (it’s now in the process of being returned) and interactive ECD at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, will soon be packing up his things in Boulder and heading to Portland to join W+K. We haven’t received official confirmation on this (we reached out to O’Rourke himself and got a “no comment”), but our spies tell us that his transition will take shape by month’s end/Sept 1–hey look, he’s even planned a Mt. Hood climbing expedition at the start of next month.

Anyhow, O’Rourke joined CP+B as interactive GCD (the first of its kind at the agency apparently) in July 2010 from McCann NY (where he served in a similar role) and has most recently worked on campaigns for Kraft Mac & Cheese among others. We hope to have more clarification on the ECD’s job status in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned.
