BarEye Lets You Send Drinks to Your Friends With Your Phone

Want to send a drink to your friend using your phone? Check out a new app called BarEye, which is available for iOS and Android devices. The app lets you send and receive real drinks at bars in select cities including:  Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.

The social networking app encourages users to check in at bars and logon to see where their friends are hanging out. Then you can choose a friend or anyone who has checked in on the app and choose the bar, then buy them a drink through an in-app purchase that costs  $.99-$7.99. Your friend must download the app, then show the bartender a screenshot in the app to get their drink. The coupon is good for a week. The app is integrated with Facebook, so you can easily access your Internet friends without having to create a whole new profile. The app also has a chat feature, bringing bar flirting to the 21st century.

The app encourages users to express their loyalty and identify their favorite bars. Bars can reward this behavior by giving free drinks to people who have liked them on the app.
