Mo Williems’s New App Lets Kids Make Their Own Worlds

Children’s book author Mo Willems, best known for his series Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, has a new interactive children’s book app out from Disney called Pigeon Presents…Mo…On the Go!.

The app, which is available from iTunes and Nook, invites kids to get involved in Willems’ world and interact with some of his better known characters. In the app kids can make Elephant and Piggie dance, they can draw their own creations, and take photos to place within Willems’ landscapes. Readers can also create monsters and even drive the bus. They can also watch demonstrations from Willems on how to draw.

The app is full of digital stickers as well. Kids can make their own or paste stickers of Willems’ characters around the app. Once they have created a painting or decorated a landscape, they can share their work through social networks. There is even a feature that lets readers share digital postcards Knuffle Bunny via email.
