Who's your all-time favorite American Idol candidate? No clue. Have literally never seen an entire episode.

When's the last time you volunteered? Where? Last year, Gawker Media.

Who is your favorite active journalist? Chris Lehmann. Also a big fan of Lawerence Weschler, Joan Didion, Jeffery Goldberg, Jane Mayer, and even some of the people I'm friends with.

What did you have for breakfast? Vegetable quiche.

What's your favorite item of clothing? Changes regularly, currently a pair of Michael Kors platform sandals. They make me taller than many of the men in my office.

What one toiletry item could you not live without? mascara.
