What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? Brit Hume --(not just because he's my boss) I watched him on ABC. When he came to Fox, I contributed to Special Report as the Southeast Correspondent for 4 years. He encouraged me to come to DC to work for him. And on 9-11, I was called up to provide backup outside the Pentagon. A month later.. I was the Pentagon Correspondent.. and 4 1/2 years after that.. at the White House for Fox. I consider him my mentor for the last 10 years. (sorry for the long answer)

Who's your all-time favorite American Idol candidate? Kelly Clarkson

When's the last time you volunteered? Where? (actual labor) I helped cook a Thanksgiving meal at a soup kitchen in DC last year.. -- but I raised funds for several charities throughout the year.. does that count?

Who is your favorite active journalist? I can't pick one.. I read and watch many I admire and learn from (I know.. a cop out answer.. but true)

What did you have for breakfast? My wife made me two scrambled eggs, an English Muffin, and coffee.
