3 Upped at Politico

This morning, Politico’s Kim Kingsley announced three promotions within the group. Matt Sobocinski who has been with Albritton Communications since 2006 is now Chief Video Producer for Politico. Sara Olson has been named Director of Media and Diana McFadden is taking a bigger role as Media Coordinator for the organization.

Congrats to all three! Kingsley’s memo after the jump.

I am delighted to announce a few exciting changes within POLITICO’s Media & Special Projects Department: ?
?
Sara Olson – one of the world’s best multitaskers and problem solvers – is our new Director of Media. Sara has placed our reporters on TV and radio thousands of times since her start here in 2007. SheÂ’s done a tremendous job running the day-to-day operations of the media department while juggling the details of countless other projects like the presidential debates, the national conventions and our most recent video series, “Inside Obama’s Washington.” Sara will continue to manage the day-to-day multimedia operations within our group and will now focus on the big picture, too. Congrats to Sara on this much-deserved and long-overdue promotion.

Matt Sobocinski is also getting a new title: Chief Video Producer. Many of you might not realize that Matt has been with this company longer than all of us. He started with Allbritton Communications in 2006, and we were lucky enough to get him to jump over to POLITICO a little over a year ago. Matt will work on developing even more video offerings for our readers while continuing to produce videos that complement our stories online. Matt’s creativity when shooting, producing and editing video make him a perfect fit for this new role.

And last but not least,

Diana McFadden will take on an even bigger role here as POLITICO’s Media Coordinator. Diana will now oversee the placement of reporters and editors on television and radio while continuing to assist with projects and video production. I am always impressed by DianaÂ’s ability to tackle any challenge with confidence and poise. I know all of the reporters who help us promote POLITICO each day will enjoy working more closely with her. She is a rising star at POLITICO.

Please join me in congratulating all of them on their amazing accomplishments. I couldn’t be more proud.

Kim
