Read it and weep.
Here’s the invitation that only 250 people will receive for this weekend’s exclusive brunch at Politico Publisher Robert Allbritton‘s home. We hear Politico will be covering their own event again this year, so chances are high to skyrocketing that it won’t read like US Magazine. Some Politico reporters have told us they don’t mind not being invited to the brunch. We’re also hearing that a number of celebs who are attending the dinner will attend the brunch too — such as Kate Hudson, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Ashley Judd, Joan Rivers, Cal Ripken, Jr. and Tory Burch.
Who are some of the big-name brunch guests? Find out…
From a Politico release: For the second consecutive year, POLITICO publisher Robert Allbritton and his wife, Dr. Elena Allbritton, will open the doors of their Georgetown home on Sunday, May 1, for an exclusive brunch with a guest list capped at 250 people. Expected guests — including White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, British Ambassador Nigel Sheinwald, Joan Rivers, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, White House chief of staff Bill Daley, Cal Ripken Jr., ABC’s Christiane Amanpour, White House Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard, Alan Greenspan and Andrea Mitchell — will nosh on hand-rolled sushi and dim sum prepared by Wolfgang Puck’s The Source. The Allbrittons’ lush garden, filled with 200-year-old poplar trees, will feature a white century-style tent adorned with blue-and-white ceramics and fresh spring flowers.
