Did Journos Drop the Ball? FNC’s Wallace Says Yes

Politico has been running video previews of the Sunday morning political talk shows with Editor-in-Chief John Harris interviewing hosts. This week, however, Harris is out and Patrick Gavin is in as host of “Turn the Table.”

Topic of discussion? Race.

“The White House should have taken the time to find out exactly what this woman did before they took the action of firing her,” said CBS’s Bob Schieffer, host of Face the Nation.

CNN’s Candy Crowley, FNC’s Chris Wallace, NBC’s David Gregory and ABC’s Jake Tapper also weighed in.

Wallace was pointed in his views of journalists (himself included).

“Yeah, I think we dropped the ball,” said Wallace, when asked if journalists dropped the ball on the USDA’s Shirley Sherrod matter. Wallace quickly noted that his colleague Bill O’Reilly “immediately” apologized.

Take a look.
