Former WaPo Dot Com Editor Now Consulting At Politico

FBDC learned today former WashingtonPost.com editor Jim Brady will be doing some consulting work at Politico, for a month.

In an email to staff, Jim VandeHei and John Harris (both former Posties) said, “We think that you will really enjoy him and that we’ll all benefit from his vantage point.”

Wonder what WaPo will think of this new relationship. VandeHarris’ memo after the jump…

Jim and I would like everyone to welcome Jim Brady, the former editor washingtonpost.com, to our newsroom.

Jim is here on a one-month consulting assignment to help us think through and offer advice on a number of questions facing POLITICO as we continue to grow.

We both came to know Jim well when we were at the Washington Post and have enormous respect for his understanding of web journalism and business. During his month here, we expect that Jim will meet with many people on both the business and news sides to get a better understanding of our operations.

We think that you will really enjoy him and that we’ll all benefit from his vantage point.

Best of all, at least from the vantage of point of some in the newsroom, he is a graduate of American University and frequently attends basketball games there.
