Is Matt Yglesias Running for Something?

Juicebox Mafia member and liberal blogger Matt Yglesias, who works at the Center for American Progress, has created a specific short bit.ly URL system … using his name. His is ygl.as.

We’re pretty sure the only others we’ve seen do that are folks like Mitt Romney, Barack Obama and news organizations. For example, Mitt and Obama are mi.tt and ofa.bo, respectively. Perhaps Yglesias’ philosophy degree from Harvard gives him the chops to do this, not to mention his passion for the Washington Wizards. Or the fact that his online nickname is “Big Media Matt.”

For more on Yglesias, check out his Twitter feed. It’s packed with links to himself.
