Kunitz Leaves The Politico

In an email sent to Politico employees from John Harris and Jim VandeHei, obtained by FishbowlDC, they annoucned that Associate Publisher and Managing Editor of Politico.com Dan Kunitz is leaving the paper. They praised Dan’s “indispensable–indeed, in our book, downright heroic–efforts in the early days around our launch” and his “great eye for talent.”

Dan has been with various Allbritton Communications ventures for nearly 15 years.

“Given this illustrious career path, it is not surprising to us that Dan is ready to look for his next challenge,” the email states. “These are times with a lot of opportunities for someone with his expertise in technology and business, and he wants to explore.”
