Missing: Emily Hershenson

UPDATE: Emily was located early Wednesday morning.

A friend of FishbowlDC wrote us this afternoon with a startling request…so we’re turning to you to help find Emily Hershenson.  Some of you may know Emily from her days as a press secretary on the Hill.  She has been missing since Monday morning, March 21, and a police report has been filed (DC Metropolitan police CCN 038-202).  Emily left for work at 6:30am on March 21, and that was the last confirmed sighting. She last spoke to her husband, Tom, at approximately 9:30am. Her SmartTrip card was last used at Georgia Ave and W streets NW (near Howard Univ) at 12:42pm yesterday.

Friends and relatives are papering streets with flyers but so far have heard of nothing more than a possible sighting last night at 8pm on the 42 North metrobus in DC.  She lives in the Adams Morgan area, and she may still be nearby. She is a 33 years old, approximately 5′ 7″ and 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing jeans, a purple blouse, and a sweater.

Emily has a 19-month-old daughter and a husband who miss her immensely. If anyone has information, please call Tom at [removed by FBDC] or call the DC Police and give them CCN #038-202.  Additionally, friends have started a Facebook group here.

UPDATE: Tom and a crew of family and friends are canvassing their neighborhood looking for clues and information.  If you want to help, go to 1840 Biltmore St NW where there will be people outside with flyers and maps. They ‘re starting now and will go thru 8 PM.
