Morning Chills: Gabby Giffords on House Floor

Lawmakers came together on one thing yesterday. They broke into applause and tears on the House Floor as Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) returned to Washington to vote for the debt bill.

HBO “Real Time” Comedian Bill Maher wasn’t as enthused. He wrote on Twitter, “Can’t get with media swoon over Gabby Gifford return to congress, a body that didn’t have the balls to outlaw machine guns on streets of USA.”
