Atlantic‘s David Bradley and his co-sponsors, the Aspen Institute and the Newseum, are convening a “First Draft of History” conference next Thursday and Friday. We’ve reported on this and will be covering next week. Slate’s Jack Shafer‘s take.

Pew director Tom Rosenstiel, Princeton professor Paul Starr, NAA president John Sturm, and Washington Informer publisher Denise Rolark Barnes discussed the future of the newspaper industry at a hearing on the Hill yesterday. You can catch up on opening statements and a webcast here.
