Nets Announce Coverage of Oval Office Address

President Obama will make his first address on the oil spill from the Oval Office tomorrow evening. This comes after his tour of the region today, but before he meets with BP execs on Wednesday.

Each network will carry the address, which begins at 8pm. Katie Couric, Lester Holt (substituting for Brian Williams) and Diane Sawyer will anchor CBS, NBC and ABC’s special reports, respectively. Fox will also carry the address.

FishbowlDC hears nets expect the President will speak for about 15 mins. And we anticipate that CNN, Fox News and MSNBC will also air the President.

NBC cameraman Jim Long announced on Twitter that he’s the pool camera tomorrow night – “Planning for the President’s Oval Office address to the nation tomorrow. One camera, one microphone, one atomic clock…no mistakes.” (http://www.twitter.com/newmediajim)

This interrupts a repeat of NCIS on CBS, new episodes of “Losing it with Jillian” on NBC and “Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox and Jimmy Kimmel’s NBA Finals pre-game show on ABC.

UPDATE: CNN anchors Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, who will be live from the Gulf Coast, along with Candy Crowley and John King, will provide coverage of President Barack Obama’s address on the oil spill crisis.
