O’Donnell Switches Beats

TVNewser’s Chris Ariens got his hands on an internal NBC email, announcing that Kelly O’Donnell is leaving the White House beat to become a Capitol Hill correspondent. John Yang replaces her at the White House.

She will be joining the producing team of Ken Strickland and Mike Viqueira who continue to provide unparalleled coverage on the Hill. …

O’Donnell replaces Chip Reid who moved to CBS News in August. Back at the White House, David Gregory remains Chief correspondent while new hire Savannah Guthrie picks up Saturday duties covering the President and Kevin Corke is ‘Sunday White House Correspondent.’

Corke is also FishbowlDC’s favorite side-to-side looker.

But Ms. O’Donnell timed her timing perfectly: We spotted her at the White House this morning indulging in all those delicious goodies put out by the First Lady’s office for the media preview of the 2007 holiday decorations and food.
