Ron Schiller Resigns from the Aspen Institute

Our crystal ball was correct. Ron Schiller, the former NPR VP who was caught via hidden camera making stupid statements about Republicans, the Tea Party and Jews, has resigned from his new position at the Aspen Institute (before it began).  Jim Spiegelman, the organization’s director of communications, released a statement this morning:

“Ron Schiller has informed us that, in light of the controversy surrounding his recent statements, he does not feel that it’s in the best interests of the Aspen Institute for him to come work here.”

In the wake of the controversy, NPR CEO Vivian Schiller (same name, no relation) resigned from her post this morning.
