  • An ABC release announced that according to Nielsen numbers, ABC News averaged 7.02 million Total Viewers during the State of the Union address. “ABC’s coverage was up 41% over its lead-in-a rerun of America’s Funniest Home Videos.” ABC’s post-State of the Union analysis ranked #2 for the night.

  • An NBC release announced “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was “the No. 1 network evening newscast, placing first in total viewers, homes and among the key demographic adults 25-54 during the week of January 15-19.” For the week, “Nightly News” won all five
    nights, averaging 10.247 million total viewers, 8% more than ABC’s “World News” and 31% lead over CBS’s “Evening News.”
