The American Prospect Seeks Web-Savvy Executive Editor
Calling all liberals! The American Prospect is looking for a new executive editor to help oversee the editorial direction of the monthly magazine and accompanying Web properties.
The chosen one will supervise the editorial and production staff, and perform duties like hiring, mentoring and reviewing performance. He or she will assign features, edit print pieces and work with the magazine’s founding co-editors on special reports and the Culture and Books sections. Web-savvy candidates are welcome, as gig responsibilities include advancing the magazine’s online presence.
The ideal candidate will have substantial journalistic experience in a senior editorial position, preferably with a magazine.
