Wilner Joins Politico As Contributing Editor
Former NBC News Political Director Elizabeth Wilner, who stepped down in February, has joined the Politico as a contibuting editor. She will write weekly (at least) on presidential politics and help shape the publication’s election coverage.
Says the Politico’s Jim VandeHei: “Wilner is one of the smartest thinkers in politics today. Her ‘First Read’ column for NBC was always insightful and consistently way ahead of the curve in spotting news and political trends. She will play a big role in helping shape Politico’s coverage of the 08 campaign.”
