Docs on the Box: Dr. Phil/ Dr. G/Dr. Headless
So as politicians wrangle about health care, television picks up the slack by offering more real TV doctors, and killing off fictional ones.

Dr. Phil, who’s not an MD, is looking for telegenic medicos who can spin off for CBS. The Doctors will features a panel of five medical experts who will discuss a variety of medical issues. Knowing TV as we do, we’re guessing the panel will include a plastic surgeon, a shrink, a dermatologist, an OB-GYN and a diet doc. Proctologist? So not TV friendly.

Dr. G, aka Jan Garavaglia, who claims to be America’s favorite medical examiner, a title that’s easy to defend, has new show to go along based on a book–How Not to Die: Surprising Lessons on Living Longer, Safer and Healthier from America’s Favorite Medical Examiner. The new series for DHC will use modern forensic pathology to teach viewers how to lead longer, healthier lives. FBLA predicts that everyone connected with the show will die someday.
On FOX’s Prison Break, Dr. Sara Tancredi got decapitated, and EP Matt Olmstead explains his artistic reasons which have nothing to do with actress Sarah Wayne Callies’ contract disputes. We’re guessing that her identical twin won’t be showing up in any future episodes.
