Greed Might Be Good: Wall Street II Attracts Douglas

Michael Douglas may be interested in a “Wall Street” sequel currently called “Money Never Sleeps” dealing with modern-day Wall Street, according to the tradesdouglas.jpg.

Douglas hasn’t yet committed, but producer Ed Pressman attached himself and Oliver Stone may have some interest as well.

Charlie Sheen, the original Bud Fox, will not be involved, Variety says.

Allan Loeb is writing the screenplay in which the modern-day story will focus on Gordon Gekko who has recently been released from prison only to re-emerge into a much more tumultuous financial world than the one he once lorded over.

Loeb, whose credits include “21″ and “Things We Lost in the Fire,” is a licensed stockbroker who once worked at the Chicago Board of Trade.
