Is Hugh Hefner full of hot air?

The Playboy publisher tweeted Sunday that “the Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records.”

TMZ.com reported that newsstands have had to re-order the issues multiple times. But when CNN called a dozen newsstands in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and New York, only one location was sold out of the issue.

Considering the entire spread was leaked online and that the world is no stranger to Lohan’s assets, I find it hard to believe that this issue is breaking sales records.

But for $1 million, I hope Hefner has made his money back at least.
