Giants/Patriots Top Weekly Ratings on WNYW

WNYW/Channel 5 took the top three positions in the latest Nielsen ratings. The slots are connected to Sunday’s late afternoon NFL action.

The Giants surprise win in New England was second-best (2.3 million/11.8). Following the game, coverage of Fox’s additional action was number one (2.3 million/11.9).

The Fox post-game show, The OT, was third (1.2 million/6.2).

The Dancing With The Stars result show gave WABC/Channel 7 its best finish–fourth (1 million/5.6).

Back to Fox, X Factor, is still not putting up Idol numbers, but impressive nonetheless. The last week’s performance episode was ninth (849,000/4.3). The first elimination broadcast was 11th (792,000/4.1).

60 Minutes, with a special tribute to longtime essayist Andy Rooney, was eighth (942,000/4.8).
