Idol and Dancing Top Weekly Ratings
American Idol and Dancing With The Stars led the way among prime time programs for the week ending May 8. According to the Nielsen Company, performance shows of Idol (1.7 million/8.8) and Dancing tied for number one in New York.
The Idol results show landed at three with 1.6 million WNYW viewers and an 8.1 rating.
As for the Dancing elimination broadcast on WABC, it was fourth (1.2 million/6.2).
WNBC cracked the Top 10 (at nine) with the network’s newest talent competition, The Voice (819,000/4.1).
60 Minutes, with the much-anticipated President Obama interview, held its usual number five with 1.2 million WCBS viewers and a 6.1 rating.

Fox’s House, which has been renewed for an eighth season, was 15th (693,000/3.4).
