Jets Playoffs Win Tops Prime Time Ratings

It’s no surprise that the New York Jets ”edge-of-your-seat” Wild Card win over the Colts held fans interest right to the final kick.

The game Saturday night was number one in the weekly New York ratings, according to the Nielsen Company, with a 2.5 million audience and 12.4 rating on WNBC.

NFL playoffs took up residence in the first four slots.

NBC’s 15-minute studio show, leading up to the Jets game, was number three (2.2 million/11.0).

As for Fox, their Wild Card game on Saturday was second (2.3 million/11.7). The post-game show on WNYW was in the 4th position (1.6 million/7.9).

WABC followed with Desperate Housewives at five (1.2 million/5.9).

WCBS had its highest entry at number six, thanks to Two and a Half Men (1.1 million/5.8).
