Lara Logan Was Sexually Assaulted While in Egypt
On February 3rd, Lara Logan and her crew were detained by Egyptian police forces, but it turns out, that wasn’t anywhere near the worst of what she faced while covering the revolution for CBS.
It’s now being reported that in the moments after Hosni Mubarak stepped down, Logan got separated from her crew as the huge mass of people celebrated. She was then was surrounded by a group of people and sexually assaulted and severely beaten, before being saved by some women and Egyptian soldiers.
Logan eventually met back up with her crew, and she is now back in the states at a hospital recovering. FishbowlNY extends positive thoughts to her and her family.
Also, if you do click through to the CBS story, don’t bother to read the comments. We did, and we wish we hadn’t.
