Mark Joyella Brings His TV Expertise To Mediaite
Mediaite publisher Dan Abrams happily reported today that five-time Emmy award winning reporter Mark Joyella is the most recent addition to the his team. Joyella will serve as the site’s TV editor and brings oodles of on-air and print experience to his new position.
In addition to his numerous reporter and anchor gigs in markets as large as Miami and New York, Joyella also has contributed to the New York Post and runs his own blog LocalNewser. Prior to joining Mediaite, Joyella became the first community supported journalist to align himself with The Coaching Commons — a nonprofit site that seeks to create digital content and develop innovative, sustainable news models.
Joyella is replacing senior editor Steve Krakauer who is moving on from Mediaite to become the digital producer for CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight. He will report to Mediaite managing editor Colby Hall.
