Michelle Myers Returns To Condé Fold


Lucky day for Condé Nast publication Lucky: the magazine has just hired back publisher Michelle Myers to the company from Time Inc., where she’s been publisher of People StyleWatch for the past two and a half years. Prior to that, Myers had worked as the publisher of Star magazine, as well as associate publisher of Allure and Shape. In her new role at Lucky, she will also be serving as vice president to the title. Said Condé CEO Chuck Townsend, “We know she will bring her energy and excitement to the Lucky brand and we are pleased to welcome her back to the company.”

Michelle Myers has been named Vice President & Publisher of Lucky magazine, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President & C.E.O. of Conde Nast. Her appointment is effective this month.

Ms. Myers returns to Conde Nast from Time Inc., where she has been the Publisher of People StyleWatch since July 2007. She was the founding Publisher of the magazine, which was named to Advertising Age’s “A-List” and earned the fourth spot on Adweek’s “10 Under 60″ list in 2008.

“Michelle has had a remarkably successful career and is well respected within the industry and Conde Nast,” Mr. Townsend said. “We know she will bring her energy and excitement to the Lucky brand and we are pleased to welcome her back to the company.”

Myers joined StyleWatch from Star magazine where she was Publisher since 2004. Prior to that, Myers served as the Associate Publisher of Allure (2000-2004) where she helped to increase ad pages by 8% and revenue by $28 million. Previously, Myers was the Associate Publisher of Shape.

In 2009, Myers was recognized by MediaWeek as an executive under 40 who is making an impact in the advertising/marketing/media field. She has been a board member of the Fragrance
Foundation since 2007.

Ms. Myers holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from Marymount University. She resides in New York City with her husband and four children.
