According to WWD, Stephanie Trong is out as editorial director of New York’s The Cut. Trong had been at The Cut for just over a year. Prior to that she was deputy digital editor of Lucky.
No word on why Trong is out, but sources told WWD that she was let go.
Stella Bugbee, previously an editor-at-large then — most recently — creative director for The Cut, is succeeding Trong.
