Maili Holiman has been named the new creative director of Sunset. Holiman comes to Sunset from the George Lucas Educational Foundation. She had been creative director of the foundation’s magazine — Edutopia — since 2009. Prior to that she was Wired and Readymade’s art director.
“Maili brings a tremendous breadth of creative work to us; she has designed both the high-tech Wired and the do-it-yourself ReadyMade,” said Kitty Morgan, Sunset’s editor-in-chief, in a statement. “But I’m most excited by her ability to capture a brand’s emotion and make it visible. Her modern yet warm aesthetic is exactly Sunset.”
Holiman begins at Sunset on October 15.
