Food Network star and chef Tyler Florence is set to become House Beautiful‘s newest contributing editor, beginning with the magazine’s February 2011 issue. His new column, “Tyler’s Kitchen,” will cover food and entertaining.

House Beautiful‘s editor in chief Newell Turner explains why the magazine chose Florence:

Tyler is a perfect fit for our audience.  Of course we’ll devour the vibrant new recipes he’ll be creating, but equally important is the personal style that infuses all his undertakings: robust and warm with a family focus. His sensibility is about more than just what’s in the pot or on the plate — it’s the kitchen itself, the home built around it and the central role sharing good food plays in everyone’s lives today.
