Tyra Banks Launches Web-Only Magazine

Tyra Banks is taking one more step towards total media domination with the announcement of her new online-only magazine — or “magaline” — Tyra: Beauty Inside & Out.

Today’s WWD said the magazine will “feature an audio ‘manifesto’ that asks readers to dream big, ignore the haters, celebrate uniqueness and seek the beauty in everything.”

Banks stopped by the “Today” show this morning to chat with Natalie Morales about the upcoming season of “The Tyra Show” and “America’s Next Top Model,” as well as the new magazine.

“It’s not just a magazine…it talks back to you,” Banks said. “This is going to allow for a community of women. It’s real and it’s raw and it’s going to allow for a connection to me like you’ve never had before.”

Banks also said the online publication will discuss self-esteem and friendships as well as beauty, fashion and style. Banks’ Web site says that the launch of Tyra: Beauty Inside & Out will premiere on “Top Model.”

In other Tyra news, on the season premiere of her talk show, which airs today in New York at 4 p.m. on the CW, Banks will be showing her real hair. We might be tuning in to see that.
