Gabriel Garcia Marquez Wrestling with New Novel

After admitting that he did not write a single line in 2005, Gabriel Garcia Marquez reportedly has a new novel in the works–and is trying to decide which version to publish.

In an interview, the author’s friend Plinio Apuleyo Mendoza said that the new Marquez book will be a love story. The friend also called the year-long writer’s block a “sabbatical,” noting that the new novel is not finished:

“He has four versions of it … He told me that he was now trying to get the best from each of them.” (Via.)
